2 years ago, I woke up. Every tear, sweat, fear, bully, failure, struggle- made sense. I sincerely believe we go through things to gain insight-for an enhanced perspective-for a more objective perception..of others.

Thank to YOUR support, whether it was/continues to be based on sharing a status, flyer, invitation, or even discussing—–over 5,500 families have been assisted. Thanks to YOUR contributions both monetary and words of encouragement-my dream became my reality. It is NOT over-more so just beginning. It will be WITH your help that we will continue.

If by chance you have been chanced to experience hardships, you know the importance of Toiletries For Families. If by chance you have not, please know-many have and they rely on us.

There are 31 days left in this year-but for many of us, many may not make it. It is a heart wrenching truth we must accept-

I am grateful to and for each of you-and I hope each of you find time to take one deep breath-suck in every good memory you have and slowly exhale all the negative ones.

Due to the World Wide Web, I feel quite detached from many-as most of my awareness relies on facebook stats and email notifications…even text messages are removing the sense of connection.

Please know-if you received this email- enclosed with the contents are my utmost respect and gratitude.

31 days- what can we do? We can each change 31 lives! Imagine-if each of us aim to aide 31 people…all you need is an open mind. Now, I can suggest 2 things-

1. Donate 31 quarters to Toiletries for Families, and we will help 31 people
2. Go to the dollar (99c) store and purchase 31 toothbrushes (with toothpaste) and give them to 31 ppl at various red lights and underpasses *you could go as far as to add a bottle of water*

It is not about the amount of effort that is made- it is ALL about the effort.

If you find yourself feeling lost, discouraged, or without purpose…PLEASE let me know. I will encompass you with direction, encourage you with love, and purpose you with a task—

to avert your eyes from your situation and focus on helping someone else.

Depression is real, it destroys…not only YOU-but those around you. It is like a tornado.

Donations of unopened, unused toiletries may be delivered to Jamaica House 6357 Westheimer Rd. on Thursdays between 7PM-10PM.

To date, Toiletries For Families has distributed hygienic essentials to households, travelers, and shelters to aid over 1000 families in improving their hygiene and self esteem.
